Effect on Blood Pressure of Daily Lemon Ingestion and Walking
It has been reported that food materials such as tea catechins, cacao lignin, and wheat bran hemicellulose had a suppressive effect on blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) [1–3].
Several studies highlighted lemon as an important health-promoting fruit rich in phenolic compounds as well as vitamins, minerals, dietary fibers, essential oils, and carotenoids [4].
The suppressive effect of lemon juice and its crude flavonoid on blood pressure has been reported in SHR [5].
